Hot Water Solutions Key Installers receive hands-on training, access to potential customers and cash incentives for installing heat pump water heaters (HPWHs).

Hot Water Solutions aims to accelerate the adoption of Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWHs) in existing residential homes with standard electric water heaters especially in emergency and planned replacements. Key Installer benefits are designed to help enable hands on training and experience with straightforward HPWH installations with the goal of making HPWHs a core part of your business.

Key Installers Earn Cash and Customer Leads

1. Get a $1,000 per unit payment for stocking qualified HPWHs, up to a maximum of $5,000.
2. Receive up to $5,000 to cover a standard retrofit HPWH installation with research participation. Eligible installations include a Tier 3 or Tier 4 HPWH in an eligible customer’s home and on-site support from an Energy Specialist.
3. Warranty callback funds of up to $750 to cover up to two callbacks a year.

How do I Become a Key Installer?

We’re looking for installers that are eager to scale their business by adding HPWHs as a core service to meet the market’s increasing demand for energy efficiency. This is a great opportunity for contractors with an active sales team, an established training process and retrofit installation experience.

• List HPWH installation as a service on your website or marketing materials
• Complete a no-cost Hot Water Solutions training online or in-person within the year
• Be willing to learn and respond to customer leads and Hot Water Solutions Specialist engagement as a result of the Key Installer program
