A: To be listed on the Hot Water Solutions installer finder, a contractor must have a current plumbing license and must attend one of our webinar orientation sessions. Orientations occur on the second Thursday of every month, and you can register on our Training and Events page.

Check our list of available rebates before installing a new heat pump water heater to confirm rebate level, availability and requirements with your utility. A: NEEA's website includes a Qualified Product List under the Advanced Water Heater Specification. This list is updated regularly. If a heat pump water heater is not on the list, please contact your electric utility for eligibility requirements prior to installation.
A: Heat pump water heaters can be installed in a variety of locations, from an unheated garage to a heated utility room. Things to consider and talk to your clients about prior to installation include space, sound, cold air and the unit's size and height. A: It's important to educate your customers about heat pump water heater maintenance to reduce callbacks and increase client satisfaction. Unlike standard electric water heaters, heat pump water heaters use an air filter that needs to be cleaned periodically to ensure efficient operation. Other maintenance needs are similar to those of standard electric water heaters.
